Bagaimana rasanya?
Dua hari berturut2 pesakit aku meninggal dunia. Kedua2nya kes kemalangan jiwa. (gambar hiasan)
Kes pertama
a patient in his 50s, alleged MVA pedestrian hit by car, a hit-n-run scenario. Came with deteriorating condition. We had to tube him n give him artificial breathing. BP dropping like crazy. Pale ++, IV fluids to resuscitate given. There was a long bruising over his L flank, more like a normal abrasion wound but FAST ultrasonography showed a heck of nasty fluid collection which indicates intraabdominal injury. He would benefit from open laparatomy but, we he never made it upstairs. He met his Creator before we could establish the proper diagnosis. Apparently he went to cardiac arrest, precisely PEA-pulseless electrical activity secondary to excessive blood loss with subsequent DIVC or DIC (disseminated intravac. coagulation) and electrolyte haywires. I broke the bad news to the family. The daughter was unable to control her burst of tears. May Allah forgive his soul. Amen.
Sometimes when you see a lot of death, u don't know wether you should frown or smile.
